Programme Information

Give yourself some space - hear from Hari and Sam what’s new in space.

About Us

Hari is an astrobiologist who has interned with NASA and been involved in many projects and programmes with NASA, the Japanese Space Agency (JAXA) and others. She has completed 4 missions as an analog astronaut at the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) in Utah.

Sam is a former Air Force pilot and intelligence officer who spent more than 20 years using space based remote sensors to help with a variety of activities on Earth and has a background in astrophysics. We both work closely with Auckland University in our charity, the New Zealand Astrobiology Network, to bring space science opportunities to schools in New Zealand. We also work as PLD facilitators with Field Based STEM to provide specialist space science experiences to schools throughout New Zealand.
