Regardless of who you are and where you're from you can get a chance to air your opinion, expertise and whatnot on this programme. Many of our guests are Sri Lankan young people, speaking from their homeland in pre-recorded interviews, but the guest list is not restricted to this group. Although Sri Lanka may be the common link, guests are invited to talk about their field and their topic in a free-ranging exchange of ideas. I'm keen to give my audience a new stream of content.

About me

Hi, My name is Moksara and I am the host of the former ‘Radio Wai Lanka’ which is now the Sri Lankan podcast. I am a Sri Lankan who migrated to New Zealand at the end of 2022. I studied and lived in Sri Lanka for about 16 years, after which I decided to continue my studies in New Zealand. Me and my family settled in Greytown with my dad being the first. I studied at Kuranui College (level 2 to 3) and then decided to take a gap year.

After meeting Yasasi of Radio WaiLankans at our Avurudu gathering, she encouraged me be involved in their show and then to develop this radio programme. With their help I am extending the radio output for Sri Lankans and others in the hopes of benefiting the wider community and to make a difference.
