The Roader’s Digest is a radio show dedicated to humanising road safety conversations, in the hope of changing attitudes and helping us all look out for one another — in Wairarapa and beyond. Each episode tackles the tough conversations around road safety, shedding light on the data, best practice, and interesting facts, all in a digestible, down-to-earth way.
The show covers all facets of road safety, grounded in a simple truth: sharing our roads is something we can all connect with, because we all have to use our roading network to get from A to B.

- Interesting facts and stories, shared in a digestible, relatable way

About Us
We are passionate road safety advocates. The Roaders Digest brings together two outlooks — one shaped by broadcasting and community connection, the other by three decades on the front line — for a (hopefully) enlightening 30 minutes.
Holly Hullena
Co-Host
Holly has a background in broadcasting and is currently Projects Coordinator at the Wairarapa Road Safety Council, where she has worked since 2014. She has also delved into youth work, been part of community boards, worked as a celebrant, and is a mum. Holly brings relatable conversations around road safety that aren't normally held or considered — knowing that although there's a lot of technical jargon out there, safety can be simple.
Dan Ralph
Co-Host
Dan has been a road safety advocate for 30 years, is a keen cyclist, ‘ride leader’, driver and driver trainer. He has worked both on the front line and in establishing relationships and engagement in road safety. He’s also a father of 3 young road users and like most parents, dreads the phone call or knock on the door in the early hours of the morning. If we can help road users consider their actions behind the wheel, our streets and highways maybe a little safer for all.
