Programme Information
Promoting the Wairarapa Filipinos as a people and the Wairarapa region as a place to live, work and raise a family. Expressing the Filipino culture through Original Pilipino Music (OPM), talking about the latest news and information in both local and International scenes, and through live discussions with special guests dedicated to help uplift the Wairarapa community. This is also an opportunity to share our language with our spectators in both radio and television. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas at ang Wairarapa (Long live the Philippines and the Wairarapa).

Fiesta Wairarapa - Pinoy Radio is an innovative collaboration between the Wairarapa Filipino Society and Arrow FM Access Radio Wairarapa. Hosted by a team of three long-time residents of the region.
Kinnie Vermuelen
Kinnie is a dedicated IT professional, loving wife and proud mother of three grown-up boys. She currently works in a prominent government agency where her expertise in Information Technology is instrumental in supporting essential public services. She is a Distinguished Toastmaster awarded by Toastmasters International. She highly values continuous learning and improvement. At her core, Kinnie believes that one of the most meaningful ways to express love and honour God is by serving others and helping them realise their potential. She is passionate about making a positive impact on the people she connects with, inspiring them to be their best selves.
Rica Visperas
Rica is a mother of five children. She also is a nurse, a firearms safety advocate, an entrepreneur with multiple businesses, which include an apiary business, a massage clinic, and a cleaning business, which employs local and foreign workers. In 2020, she was recognised by the Philippine Embassy to New Zealand through the Wairarapa Filipino Society as a recipient of a recognition award in the business category. When not working and caring for her family, she enjoys participating in Filipino events both in and out of the Wairarapa. She also plays volleyball for the local Filipino team. Her passion is helping others when needed.
Ryan Erwin Soriano
Ryan is a loving husband to Mitchie and father of their 3 adult children. He is a Registered Nurse with 28 years’ experience in health and community sectors across governance, leadership/management, and clinical roles. He is an advisor for the Wairarapa Filipino Society; his broad range of experience and knowledge is helpful to any role he is into. In 2021, He received an award of recognition from the Philippine Embassy to New Zealand for his invaluable contribution during the COVID 19 Pandemic and was sworn in as Justice of the Peace the same year.
