Featherston is by no means a big town - with just over 2000 residents, it could be described is bijou. But what a repository of creative and talented people! Many of them tucked away being quietly awesome in an impressive range of artistic disciplines. Being by nature nosey parkers and somewhat garrulous, we try to capture some of the stories of our clever, creative neighbours and have a jolly good time while doing it. ReCooper8 is a broad-based arts programme, aiming to bring listeners news and views on what’s happening in the arts in the South Wairarapa, along with some great music and in-depth profiles and interviews with artists and creatives working not just in our region, but nationally and internationally. About Us
Your hosts are Coops and Katie. Coops is a recovering resource management planner and latter-day journalist. Katie is an environmental communicator and facilitator, whose ability to extract cash from an audience at a silent auction is considered best-in-class.
